1. Our own website
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies or similar storage to track you across other websites.
Our own pages store your video choice and your selected workshop country, as described below. Our hosting provider may also use technical storage needed to deliver the website securely; this is separate from our own pages and from YouTube.
2. Your video choice
When you choose to allow or not allow YouTube videos, we save that choice in your browser’s local storage under the name hm-video-consent. It records only your choice (allowed or not allowed) and the date you made it. It is not sent to us and does not identify you.
The choice is kept for 12 months, after which we will ask again. You can change it at any time using Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page.
3. Your workshop country preference
When you select a country on the Workshops page, we save its two-letter country code in your browser’s local storage under the name hm-booking-country. This lets the website remember your choice, display the relevant workshop prices and use the same country and currency for checkout. It is not used as marketing consent and is not sent to us as an enquiry.
This preference has no set expiry. It remains in that browser until you select another country or clear this website’s data in your browser. If browser storage is blocked, the website cannot remember the choice for a later visit.
4. Video preview images and web fonts
The preview images on our Watch & Learn page are copies of our own video thumbnails, stored on and served from this website. Viewing the page does not contact YouTube, and nothing is loaded from YouTube until you choose to play a video.
Our pages display text using fonts supplied by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests these fonts from Google’s servers, so Google receives your IP address and basic browser information. Google Fonts does not set cookies for this.
5. The YouTube player
The YouTube player loads only after you choose “Allow YouTube and play”, or after you have previously allowed YouTube in Cookie Settings. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, but this does not make the player cookie-free. Once the player loads, YouTube and Google may make further requests and set cookies or similar storage on your device under Google’s own privacy policy.
If you choose “Not now” or withdraw your consent, the player is not loaded and any open player is closed. Withdrawing consent stops future loading on this website; it does not remove cookies that Google has already set on its own domains.
If your browser blocks site storage, we cannot save your choice. It then applies only until you leave or reload the page, and we will ask again next time.
