Phoenix Foundations Online
The recorded online workshop experience.
Explore the teaching and demonstrations filmed at our Phoenix Foundations workshops. Follow the explanations and observe the practical work when attending in person is not possible.
Recorded this summer, the workshop footage is now in post-production and will be available soon.
Two formats, one foundation
Phoenix Foundations, two ways to learn.
Both formats introduce the foundations of The Phoenix Way. In person, you join the teaching and take part in supervised practical activities. Online, you follow recorded workshop teaching and demonstrations.
For entry to HMB Pro, you need to complete either the in-person Phoenix Foundations workshop or Phoenix Foundations Online. You do not need to complete both.
From the workshop
See the teaching as it happens
Our workshops bring explanations, anatomical examination and practical demonstrations together.
This summer, we recorded that teaching to make it accessible beyond the workshop venue. The footage is now being edited and organised into an online workshop experience.
The aim is to help you follow the relationships being discussed and understand the reasoning behind what you see.
Who is it for?
Learning that begins wherever you are
Phoenix Foundations Online is for owners and other interested learners who want to understand more about hoof anatomy, observation and balance but cannot join us in person.
It may also suit previous workshop participants who would like to revisit the teaching, and prospective HMB Pro students preparing for professional study.
You do not need to be a hoof-care professional to begin learning. This experience introduces the foundations; it does not confer a professional qualification.
Learning pathways
Your foundation for further learning
Before beginning HMB Pro, students need to complete Phoenix Foundations through either an in-person workshop or the online workshop experience.
Phoenix Foundations provides the introductory foundation. Phoenix Academy is being developed for ongoing learning, while HMB Pro is our two-year professional study pathway.
